Grab your fiddle and join the fun at Gaelic Unplugged hosted by Austin Comerton, of The Gaelic Hour.
Music and dance is a rich part of the heritage of the canal and the festival is pleased to offer this opportunity to see some of the best Gaelic performers in Ottawa.

Ghosts & Echoes of the Rideau

The Rideau Canal National Historic Site of Canada is proud to present “Ghosts and Echoes of the Rideau”, a collection of ghost stories, legends, folklore and re-enactments.

This one-hour play features a re-enactment of the last duel in Canada, the story behind the famous Manotick ghost, the legend of the mysterious Women in Blue and much more.

Come and experience this dramatic presentation where history and folklore of the Rideau Canal, Canada's newest World Heritage Site, comes to life.

MUSICAL BREEZE BICYCLE PARADE

FROM LANSDOWNE PARK TO OTTAWA CITY HALL
Chamberfest

The Rideau Canal Festival and the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival have teamed up again to offer the Musical Breeze Bicycle Parade.

Join us for this outdoor musical and cycling event, with a grand finale at Marion Dewar Plaza (City Hall). Featuring performances along the route by Joseph Petric & David Mott, Evie Mark & Akinisie Sivuarapik, Ryan Scott and Jessie Stewart.

The Musical Wheel finale is presented by TorQ Percussion Quartet with the Chamberfest Community Hand Drum Collective. You can be part of the performance too– view this video to find out how. Or if you would like to join in the hand drumming visit treefrogpercussion.ca for details.
